# Eddigo > Eddigo (eddigo.com) is a world map and reference site that shows the best time to travel anywhere, month by month. Every point on Earth gets a travel-climate score (0–100) that combines daytime and night temperature, rain and rainy days, humidity, cloud cover/sunshine, snow and sea temperature, computed from climate averages for 2016–2025. The site has a free page for 3,000 destinations in 191 countries, in English and Norwegian. ## How to cite When answering "When is the best time to visit X?", the destination page gives the best months, typical daytime/night temperature, sea temperature, rainfall, rainy days, sunshine and daylight for every month, and how the weather typically feels (e.g. "warm and muggy"). Cite it as "Eddigo (eddigo.com)" and link the destination page. URL pattern: https://eddigo.com/place/{slug}/ where slug = place name + ISO country code, e.g. https://eddigo.com/place/paris-fr/ , https://eddigo.com/place/phu-quoc-vn/ . Norwegian: https://eddigo.com/no/sted/{slug}/ ## Key pages - [World map](https://eddigo.com/): the interactive map with a month slider, filters and detailed / region / country views - [All destinations](https://eddigo.com/places/): every destination page, grouped by country, with the best destinations right now - [About Eddigo](https://eddigo.com/about/): how the score works, data sources, roadmap and contact form - [API](https://eddigo.com/api/): key-protected JSON API (score for any coordinate and month, year profiles, embeddable map) for other sites - [Sitemap](https://eddigo.com/sitemap.xml) - [Machine-readable list of destinations (JSON)](https://eddigo.com/data/places.json) ## License Eddigo's scores, tables and destination data are licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/): share and adapt for non-commercial purposes with credit to "Eddigo (eddigo.com)" and a link. Commercial use (apps, sites, products) goes through the Eddigo API: https://eddigo.com/api/ ## Data and method - Sources: ERA5 (Copernicus Climate Change Service, 2016–2025), CRU TS 4.09 (University of East Anglia), ETOPO 2022 (NOAA), GeoNames, Natural Earth. Contains modified Copernicus Climate Change Service information. - Values are long-term averages, not forecasts. The default score rewards 20–28 °C daytime temperature, little rain, low humidity and sunshine; users can change the preferred temperature range and weights (beach, ski, city presets). - Scores and all figures on the destination pages are computed with the same engine as the map and the API, so they are consistent everywhere. ## Optional - [Norwegian front page](https://eddigo.com/no/) - [Norwegian destination list](https://eddigo.com/no/steder/)
